Something new about math

I was not very good at math when i was in school and now i am quite good at it and that is why may be possible that whenever i hear a new term on math, i start exploring it. The same curiosity brought me deal with permutations and combinations. I am sure you will enjoy this learning.

The different arrangements that can be made with a given number of things taking some or all of them at a time are called permutations. Permutation formula is given below:

Formula: nPk = n!/(n-k)!= n (n-1) (n-2)….. (n-k+1).

The symbol nPr or P(n,r) is used to denote the number of permutations of n things taken r at a time.

The selection of a number of things taking some or all of them at a time is called combinations.
The number of ways of selecting r things out of n dissimilar things is denoted by C(n, r) or nCr.

This was something on permutations and combination. I will move on to other concepts of math further, till then you enjoy this learning and do posts your feedback.
